Following the government announcement regarding COVID-19 and a subsequent communication from the UK Chief Commissioner for Scouts, Tim Kidd, we suspended all face to face Scouting activities in Caterham District until further notice. This affected all youth meetings at all age ranges, camps, external events and leader training.
Many groups in Caterham District have resumed Scouting albeit it using remote methods.
Some groups and sections are offering a variety of projects by email while many are using online tools to deliver face-to-face meetings. Contact your local groups for more information.
Meanwhile, Caterham District held a District-wide sleep-in over the period 25-28 April with Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and older invited to join in by camping at home either in a tent or a homemade den, indoors or outdoors.
Caterham District Scouts has 13 groups delivering Scouting to young people between the ages of 6-18 across Caterham, Chaldon, Hamsey Green, Warlingham, Whyteleafe & Woldingham.
